Perhaps it was this cartoon from Steven Beckman’s article on the Space Collective that fully explained (in not so many words) the concept and idea behind “branding”:

Whatever if was, it helped me to finally get the meaning and essence of what is known as “branding”. Being an ad student, I’ve struggled with this for some time, but judging by last week’s crit in Branding Strategies class (which for the most part was pretty good), I believe that I’m beginning to get the picture.
