The ADV students at Art Center were treated to some serious brass this past Thursday as David Angelo, founder of David & Goliath Advertising, came to speak on his experience in the industry. His central message acting in line with D&G’s central philosophy, “Be brave.” He spoke frankly about his journey towards a career in Advertising as well as his early accomplishments and founding of his agency. It was awesome to hear his candid opinions, especially on the quality of work from Art Directors that have graduated from Art Center. Another reassuring discussion was his experience of getting into Advertising at an age relative to mine; he was 29. I don’t feel quite out of touch anymore.
