Despite the busy schedule of school, this Saturday I was very proud to participate in the first, “Art Center Takes Action: A Day of Service in Pasadena”, a volunteer program part of the school’s 80 Year Anniversary Celebration. And thanks to the recommendation of the awesome faculty and staff at the school, I’m also happy to say that I got the opportunity to design the posters and symbol of the “ACCD Heart” for the volunteer program as well.
The volunteers helped garden and plant some hedges at the Boys & Girls Club of Pasadena. Different volunteer groups also helped out in with various programs throughout the city including the Rose Bowl Operating Company, AIDS Service Center, and Villa Park Retirement Community.
Altogether a great experience knowing that in some way we all helped out our community. I hope it becomes a tradition every year or every term, because I would definitely do it again.
